the shadow

hmmm,these few days been kinda boring.however,i kinda thought of some things.i think im finally to be able to step out of his shadow already.i was in his shadow for so long that it kinda made mi became him and not myself.since young,i was always chasing after his shadow.but all the time,it just seems so hard to reach it or even be near it.he became a huge influence in my life gradually as we grow up.however as he become an influence,i was slowly going into his shadow without realizing it.
i was always being remembered as his small brother by people around him in the past.but now,these people are seeing mi as myself and no longer as his small brother anymore.i am so glad that its changed.i think everything started to change after i entered sim and not ntu.if i am to be studying in ntu,i guess i would still be recognized as his brother and being compared to him.
this would mean that i will still be in his shadow and chasing it also.
however by entering sim,i began to step out of the shadow and become the person that i am now.in the school,i wont be seen as someone's brother and this is quite a good feeling to have.even in our soccer team now,i am so glad that im being seen as zhixiang instead of the small boy in the team compared to the past.in some ways,it made mi grow up and not as restricted anymore.
i am 22 this year already,its time for mi to become myself and to stop chasing his shadow.i am very thankful that i have such a good influence in my life.
dont think anyone will be reading this either.

finally have the time to update again.been really busy for the past 2 days.out from morning till night.
at least the 2 lectures given by chris alden is very useful for the upcoming exams.hopefully will be able to do well for it.
fri was another day of lecture,but ended earlier.n it was a day of unexpected meet ups with friends.haha.managed to see UMC people from ntu n the juniors from my jc at boulderactive.seeing them really brings back fun n good memories.n looking at the climbers on the walls do makes mi want to climb again but its never easy to start again after stopping for so many years.maybe will be heading down there again today to see if i'll meet anyone else anot.haha.

After a long hiatus,i finally decided to start blogging again.so this blog is revived again.if im not wrong,its been more than half a year since i stopped blogging already.over the this half year,well im close to ending my 1st year of studies in university and managed to run a half marathon last year also.some how during this period of time,time really passed quite fast.made new friends in sch and its really good to have people u know around in school.
anyway i think i shall end this entry now.shall be updating more often from now on i guess.

Its been super long since i last blogged.so many months had passed and i have finally ord from the army.well,school has started for mi too.been 2 weeks since it started and can be consider still manageable i guess.but its not going to be easy to do well,will have to really work hard for it.i think i have sort of recover from my knee problem but its still not back at the level that i want.haiz.just hope that i can get to a higher level of play soon.thats all for now i guess.

Its been so long since i last updated this place.for a long 5 months at least.nothing much has changed over this period of time.life has been pretty mundane for mi.
frankly speaking,i dont know what i can talk about nowadays.everyday is almost the same routine for mi.i long to lead a different kind of life now.although its just another 2 months before i ord,it still looks kinda far now.one thing i do understand is that from now onwards,i will do whatever that i had promised before to anyone.there will be no excuses for mi to break any promises made no matter what.sorry to that particular someone.though i know u wont be reading this space at all.
its quite an emo entry today.dont know why also.

2nd day of 2007

Today is the 2nd day of 2007 le.So fast one year had just passed like that.I wouldn't say that its very fast or very slow la.Just that its been one whole year that im serving my national service.The path which i had been for this one year was quite something i guess.From a sispec trainee in pasir leba camp to a clerk in dsta tower to a supply supervisor trainee in sembawang camp and finally to a qualified supply supervisor in nee soon camp.At these different places,i managed to meet people from all walks of life.From my bunk mates in echo company to fellow clerks in dsta and trainees in stc,they helped mi in learning quite alot of things.In event which i took part in was the IMF 2006,it was a great experience getting involved in it.Worked with people from different levels and saw the true colours of some people also.To end off the year,i finally had the knee operation to fix the niggling problem which i had been having for a long time.

On new year's eve,i had dinner with my family before going off with my brother to meet up with our homeless guys.We went to apollo centre to sing which was great cause i haven't sing for a long time.haha.It was youreng's birthday on that day also.Reng's got really good voice man,the he sang is damn nice.

Family Karaoke Box,the place where we to sing.Oh and thats the pic of seng singing K ge zhi wang where he's being forced out of his seat by us.haha.As we were singing,a new year arrived quietly.We sang from 11pm until 2am.After that we went to the maxwell market to have our supper.That place is really full of gays in the middle of the night lo,so scary man.It was only 3plus when we finished eating so we decided to head to raffles place to wait for the first train.And well waiting,i decided to take a pic of my new birks,my ginza.

At five plus,yizhou decided to leave first so i left with him and yogi.He dropped off yogi in bishan first and after that dropping mi off in serangoon.It was still early before the first train and bus can be boarded so i decided to go eat mac breakfast by myself.Haven't had that for a long time.

I finally headed home after having my big breakfast,took the first train back and it was damn crowded in it lo.Reached bath and went to sleep.

Let mi think about my resolution for 2007:
1. To recover fully from my operation
2.To return to the pitch and perform to my best
3.To be able to start studying after i ord
4.ORD as fast as possible(though it seems impossible la)
5.To have more money to spend
6.Complete standard chartered marathon 2007
7.Maybe to meet a girl who will become important in my life
8.Learn to understand people better
So thats all that i can think and say.

Fate

Suddenly i just feel like blogging now.Its boxing day today and christmas had passed already.This year i had a very quiet christmas at home,spending it in my own room alone.I guess its one of my most simple christmas spent ever,didn't managed to go to michelle's birthday party either.Just ended my chat with sandy awhile.Its been so long since we are in contact,never really contact each other much since i graduated from zhonghua.I guess she must have also changed alot over all these years.From our chat,i realised something that has always been on my mind.In life,there are many times when u have to make a decision.This decision which u make will make an impact on your life after that.No matter what happened,its a path which u have chose to take.There comes a time when this decision is not the most wisely made,but u have to face the consequences when things don't turn out well.Getting over this bad experience is never easy,but ur true friends will always be there for u and will give u the support that u need.Things that are fated to happen will always happen for a reason,so be ready to always learn from it.I don't know why i'm saying all these,just suddenly have them in my mind.To end it,what ever happens in life is fated.I'm fated to meet people from different walks of life,and kinda blessed to have actually met really good friends.So i thank fate for this.

Boring day

Im back!Went for my physiotheraphy on monday afternoon.Its still quite swollen after a week,so alice decided to use heat theraphy to reduce the swollen area.So my leg was placed with suction-looking caps la.

So my physiotheraphy took around 2hours before i could finished it and go home.It was raining cats and dogs for the past few days and singapore was actually flooded with cars stuck in the water la.First time im seeing it happened in singapore la.Monday's physiotheraphy was really abit more tedious than the first time,cause my knee was in abit more pain during that night.Now the pain has slowly lessen le,i must continue to do the exercises myself.For today,it didn't rain at all but the weather was rather cooling which is not bad after all.Not sure if im able to go for mich's birthday party on sunday since my knee is still quite swollen.Should i go or anot?Shall see how my knee is on saturday and then decide i guess.Oh ya,yejun is leaving for Finland on friday night so that means i can have his ps2 while he's away.At least it can help to kill my boredom.Haha.Alright shall end my words here.

Rainy day

Haven't blog for a day le wor.I must say that its been a boring past 2 days at home.Didn't really do much things and just slacked at home.Can't remember what i did on saturday le except that i caught the arsenal vs portsmouth match.It was really a good comeback for arsenal after being 2 goals down.At least the unbeaten home record is still very much there for the gunners.On sunday,didn't do much either.Played around with my computer and caught some of the shows on the tv.Until the night time,when nigel came over to visit mi after coming back from his china trip a few days ago.Helped to find his marathon pictures also and sent it to him after he went home.So i guess that basically sums up my weekend.Yeah,i know its a very boring weekend that i had la but no choice since i still have problem moving around.At least the weather was good to be at home la.Oh ya,tml i still got physiotheraphy to go for.So i'll make a move now.Ciao~

Start of my rehabilation

Today is the fourth day after my operation already.When i woke up this morning,my knee was in quite a bloody mess.The puncture hole still haven't stop bleeding and over the night,the whole plaster which the nurse used on the wound was full of blood already.

From this picture,i can also see the big difference in size of the two knees,and its very obvious that its the one on the left la.Still swollen.I actually mixed up the timing for my physiotheraphy today lo.I thought that its at 2pm but the right timing is 8.30am in the morning lo.Luckily,i still can go in the afternoon thanks to alice my physiotherapist.So there i go,embarking on my rehabilation.

Pictures of my leg during my exercise and getting a good ice treatment after doing many sets of exercises.Oh ya,i met my GP tutor Mark Rozells at the centre there also after finishing my exercises.He dislocated his elbow while playing soccer,tough luck for him man.At least he's on mc to rest la.One funny thing that happened was that while doing my exercises,this auntie started to talk to me and told me stories of her past being a teacher.Its kinda interesting also la.Haha.

And while going home,it was raining heavily lo.Somemore the traffic was jammed and was stuck in there for quite sometime.As a result,my narcisisism gets in.....

And today while in the hospital having my lunch,i saw a very familiar face.The moment i saw him,i immediately recognise this face.He was my ex-neighbour and ex-opponent,someone who i always want to play against after our match during my secondary school days.He's none other than Khairul Amri,one of hottest prospects in Singapore football right now.

He's been doing ever so well since he started his career,i just hope that i can be somewhere there as well in the future.Thats why i'm very motivated to come back from this minor injury of mine.Watch out Khairul,i'm itching to comeback on the pitch soon.

Post Operation

Somehow,i managed to find this blog which i have abandoned a long time ago.So since i have got so much time to spare,i shall start blogging again.=)

This is the second day im back at home after my knee operation.Well,i guess all have been good for me so far.Actually i cant really recall much about the operation since i was on anaesthetics throughout the whole operation.The last thing i remembered was breathing in the oxygen gas and the next thing i know is that my knee is heavily bandaged up and in pain.This was what i saw when i woke up......

Was feeling nauseas and in the end,vomitted after i just took a few sips of milo.That was really horrible man.At least i felt much better after letting it out.The rest of the day was really sian cause all i did was sleep and sleep and sleep.After taking my dinner,i slowly fell asleep at 7plus which is damn early.

The doctor came in the next morning and said that i can be discharged,which is good news.So i headed home at 1plus in the afternoon.Oh ya,dine,zhihuai and cliburn came to visit me yesterday in the afternoon.Thank you so much for the cookies and the company.Heres somemore pics taken at the hospital .......
